Reading v Arsenal (Capital One Cup)

While we haven't won in eight Premier League games (or ten league games if you count the end of last year). One competition we have done well in this season is the Capital One Cup, with back-to-back wins over Peterborough and QPR. Tonight we take on Arsenal hoping to pick up our first win in a competitive game against the Gunners and we'll have all of the build-up here.

Reading v Arsenal - Match Thread

So plenty of changes for either side.

The headlines for Reading is a return for Adam Federici while there's again no room for last year's player of the season Alex Pearce. Is the defender being omitted for form reasons or is this to do with his contract having just over 6 months left to run? Likewise there's no Danny Guthrie despite the manager's insistance that there's been no bust up.....

Meanwhile as expected Arsenal have fielded a team full of youth players but will the likes of Arshavin and Walcott in the lineup there's still plenty of players that can cause us problems.

Reading: Federici; Gunter, Shorey, Gorkss (c), Morrison; Leigertwood, Tabb, McCleary, Robson-Kanu; Hunt, Roberts

Arsenal: Arsenal: Martinez; Jenkinson, Djourou (c), Miquel, Koscielny; Arshavin, Frimpong, Gnabry, Coquelin; Chamakh, Walcott

So what do you think? Leave you thoughts throughout the game here on The Tilehurst End.
