Ben Hoskins
I asked this question on Twitter and a fair few of you have got back to me so I thought I'd throw up a quick poll. Who would you say has been our player of 2012?
Here's our shortlist, but feel free to write a comment below if there's someone else you'd like to see given the nod.
Adam Federici: While the second half hasn't been as memorable for Federici, his recent return to form coupled with a great end to last season deserves recognition.
Adam Le Fondre: A real super sub, scoring vital winners against Watford, Millwall, Leeds and Southampton. Followed that up by earning a point against Stoke and all three against Everton, not to mention goals against Arsenal and Manchester United.
Jem Karacan: Key cog in the promotion winning midfield and his return has helped spark our recent revival.
Jobi McAnuff: Captained the side to promotion before leading our assists in the Premier League campaign so far.
Alex Pearce: Voted player of the season 2012/13, key part of the defence that won the Championship. Contract disputes have limited his involvement this season but returned to help the side keep back-to-back clean sheets and concede just 1 goal in the last 3.
Jason Roberts: Arguably the missing piece that got us promotion, with his six goals key in our run to the title. Scored winners v Bristol City and Burnley as well as the key opener at Southampton.
